I would like to give the Wing King kudos for doing the most with what they've got! I really enjoyed my first visit to their restaurant. I went with my daughter on one our our errand days and she suggested going there.
Parking:
The restaurant is located in a strip mall with a gas station and several other very busy stores so parking can be an issue. The lot is small and the parking spots are close to one another but there is always a spot if you just go around and look.
The Restaurant:
Lighting is kept low and the tables are very close but the place has a local neighborhood feel which I like. They are very busy but that is of no concern because they are also well-staffed and so you will see lots of waitresses moving about serving. Our waitress was Melinda who was very good at her job. She asked how we wanted everything and the order came out PERFECT.
We decided to eat there and ordered 10 Wings which they let you split the order with different sauces for every 5 wings. We also ordered a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with House Chips and an order of Fried Green Beans. The wings were delicious as was the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and the House Chips. I did not enjoy the Green Beans as they lacked seasoning. When the my daughter saw that I was not eating them she told the waitress and go them replaced with Fried Mushrooms. These were much better. If you are looking for fast, fried food, this place is worth a try.
Side note:
Just before we left I had to go to the restroom but I was hesitant because usually dark, neighborhood spots don't have nice bathrooms. Quite the contrary with this place. The ladies restroom was very well lit, and impeccably clean. Anytime you have a nice bathroom, your points automatically go up with me. -

We went to try wing king for the first time last Friday. Our first impression was this must be the wing spot as it was packed. Barely found parking outside! Staff was friendly but I didn't see our waitress much after we had our order taken. We ordered the half onion ring basket, hot garlic wings w/ ranch basket and 5pc grilled Cajun XXX Teriyaki all flats. The onion rings came out fast and they were really good.
The hot garlic sauce is SOO good but the bones and surrounding meat was cold. Our waitress wasn't around for me to let her know that the wings were not that hot so I ate around what I could with the fries. The Cajun wings were completely burnt. Inedible. We tried to power through but it was too bitter. When she came to our table we asked for a new order. We got through the first 3 wings and realized the last two were also completely burnt and inedible.
Our waitress took the Cajun wings off our bill which was appreciated. The sauces and onion rings alone make me want to return and give it another chance! Hopefully the second time is the charm! -

Nope.
Not at all what I thought when I read the reviews.
Wings are ok, but stuck behind a Shell has station with literally no parking, and two homeless people standing outside asking for money.
This place would do really well in a better neighborhood. -

The Hot Honey Teriyaki wings tastes great
The place is crowded and noisy, where people gather and socialize
Service is great, it took only 3mins for the togo order -

Everyone knows that wing king has awesome wings...no doubt about that, but everything on the menu is is great at any point in time. The fried mushrooms come out piping hot every time and if you like fried oysters, you need to come check theirs out. You have plenty of choices in beer selection and drink specials and your choice of televisions to make sure that you catch the right game. The servers are consistent and you see the same folks all the time. They are quick and make sure all of your needs are met. Another good spot for weekend takeout. They need to bring one on the north side of town. You know it's got to be good if I will come from the University area for wings.
